Sept 9: Nyack Memorial Pk–>Englewood (reverse)


This “reverse” ride goes to Englewood, starting from Memorial Park in Nyack at 830a. We will take Piermont Ave south and then return via 9W after climbing the Big Hill on Clinton Ave. If time allows and the group is interested, we might take a trip up old 9W near Lamont-Doherty and check out the hawks over the Hudson at the Stateline rest area.

June 10: Strictly Bikes in Ft Lee

The line at Farm Boys, a breakfast vendor stop along the road during RAGBRAI 2014. Bike Nyack hasn’t quite reached the popularity of the 10,000 cyclists who ride the annual (Des Moines) Register-Great-Bike-Ride-Across-Iowa, but give it some time, you never know… :>)

Let’s Meetup at 830 at Memorial Park in Nyack and ride to Strictly Bikes in Ft Lee, NJ.

Route is 
down Piermont Avc and 9W to Strictly Bikes in Ft Lee. On the way back, we might take a Hudson Drive for a pretty ride along the river.

Bring water bottles, your helmet and tire fixins’

Rain rules: if it’s raining 30 minutes before ride time, it’s called. And if rain is predicted after the start of the ride on, it is also called.

This Just In: Pearl River –> Englewood (5/21)

It’s not the Gran Fondo. But if ride leaders Lila and Paul find a Cheese Shop in Englewood, maybe they will retitle this “The Grand Fondue.” (cue rim shot)

Sunday Ride – May 21 @9:00, Pearl River to Englewood

This ride starts in Pearl River (No. Middletown Rd), we ride through Orangeburg and down to Englewood via Knickerbocker Ave. Stop for coffee then head back into Piermont before going to Pearl River. Local roads into New Jersey and then Rt. 501 into Piermont and back to Pearl River. About 30 miles.

Start/End point – 139 N Middletown Rd Pearl River in the parking lot behind small strip mall(Neighborhood Pharmacy) – corner of Brightwood and North Middletown Road in Pearl River. (King Kone is across the street on North Middletown Road).
